BIL-DOL FARM EXPERIENCE:

Red, White & Bloom Special

Climb aboard for a one-of-a-kind South Jersey experience that blends scenic rail travel with hands-on farm fun. This special combo experience begins with a narrated ride aboard Woodstown Central Railroad’s historic 1930s-era train, traveling along Salem County’s first railroad line, dating back to 1863. Along the way, guests will enjoy views of lush forests, rural farmland, and local railroad history before arriving at Penton Station for exclusive rail-only access to Bil-Dol Farm.
At the farm, guests will transfer to a tractor-pulled wagon for a narrated tour through the family-owned working farm before stepping into the flower fields for a U-Pick flower experience. Each combo-ticket guest receives a custom Bil-Dol Farm flower cup to fill with fresh-cut blooms selected right from the fields.

Santa Claus Special

Celebrate the magic of the holiday season aboard Woodstown Central Railroad’s annual Santa Claus Special!
Step aboard our beautifully restored vintage train cars and experience Christmas the way it was meant to be—filled with family traditions, festive decorations, and timeless railroad charm. From the moment you settle into your heated coach seat, you’ll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the season as the train journeys through the forests, farmland, and historic communities of Southern New Jersey.
During the trip, Santa Claus will make his way through the train to personally visit each family. Children can share their Christmas wishes, take photos with Santa, and receive a special gift to remember their journey.
Before boarding, guests are invited to enjoy the festive atmosphere at South Woodstown Station. Gather around the fire pits, browse the Gift Shop, capture family photos among the holiday decorations, and let children drop their letters into Santa’s special mailbox.
Perfect for families of all ages, the Santa Claus Special combines the warmth of Christmas traditions with the nostalgia of historic rail travel, creating memories that will last for years to come.

Candlelight Limited

Celebrate the yuletide season aboard Woodstown Central Railroad’s annual Candlelight Limited!
As you embark on this holiday excursion, guests will climb aboard our beautifully restored 1930s train cars. Once aboard, guests will be taken back in time to a more traditional Christmas experience with our plush seats and holiday decorations adorned throughout.
As your journey begins, Santa will make his way through the train for a memorable visit with each family. As you travel down the tracks, take in the changing winter landscapes of the forests, farmland, and historic small towns of South Jersey.
A brief layover at our South Woodstown Station will allow guests to de-board the train, visit our Gift Shop, enjoy toasty fire pits, take memorable photos around our beautifully decorated property, and children may even mail their letter to Santa Claus inside our station building.

Step aboard the historic “Mineral Spring”, a restored 1927 Pennsylvania Railroad parlor car that once traveled on legendary trains such as the famed Broadway Limited.
For the holiday season, the “Mineral Spring” is transformed into a warm and elegant Christmas setting inspired by the timeless charm of a classic American Christmas. Guests enjoy private table seating, festive decorations, attentive table service, and a memorable holiday atmosphere while traveling aboard one of Woodstown Central Railroad’s most historic passenger cars.
Each table is reserved exclusively for your party, providing a comfortable and relaxing setting for families, couples, and small groups seeking a unique holiday experience.

First Responders Day

Everyone at the Woodstown Central Railroad acknowledges the courage and commitment of first responders who work tirelessly to protect our communities. On September 12th, we honor the bravery and dedication of firefighters, police officers, paramedics, EMTs, and 911 dispatchers by hosting our first First Responders Day. It’s a day to give back by recognizing their service and sacrifice, and to remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Choose from two different trains:

Diesel-powered passenger train, pulled by ex-Reading FP7 #902 and #903. This nearly 12-mile roundtrip will take passengers over Salem County’s first railroad line, dating back to 1863. Along the way, take in the lush forests and some of New Jersey’s most rural and beautiful farmland from our authentically restored 1930s train.
Steam Powered freight train, pulled by #9. This 14-mile, 55-60-minute roundtrip will take you across peaceful Memorial Lake, through historic Woodstown, and over the Oldmans Creek Trestle as our Trainmen share what it was like to travel by rail in New Jersey nearly a century ago.

First Responders ride for FREE
Also available at South Woodstown Station will be interactive First Responder displays provided by our local communities between 12pm and 4pm.

Brew to Brew

Calling all beer lovers! Our Brew to Brew train is an exclusive way of connecting two South Jersey Breweries. Travel aboard our vintage 1930’s passenger train, taking in the sights and sounds of beautiful Southern New Jersey, to the Swedesboro Brewing Co. for a 90 minute visit. Afterward, re-board the train and continue your journey to Farmers & Bankers Brewing for 90 minutes before returning back to South Woodstown station.
All passengers are now able to park and board the train at our South Woodstown Station instead of choosing which brewery to begin.

the Continental

The Mannington Limited is a rare-milage trip over the Southern half of our railroad between Woodstown and Mannington. This 17.5-mile roundtrip will take passengers over Salem County’s first railroad line, dating back to 1863. The Woodstown Central Railroad is one of the most unique venues in the greater Philadelphia area. With train cars dating back to the 1930s, your trip over this historic rail line (circa 1883) will be an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.

Whether this is accommodating a large group on one of our excursions (10+ people), reserving your own private train car for a round-trip (1 or 2 hours), or even chartering the entire train for several hours, Woodstown Central Railroad is able to accommodate!

Classes of Service Available

Coach Class

Coach Class is our standard seating option. This 74-seat car features comfortable reversing seats which is great for families with young children or large groups. Coach Class comes with opening windows to provide fresh breeze, and is heated in the winter.

The Caboose

The Caboose is the most unique car on the train. Originally used as the crew office on the back of long freight trains, our historic 1937 caboose has been completely restored with a lush mahogany and maple interior. Our caboose features an upstairs cupola where passengers can sit and look out above the train. During colder months, our authentic coal burning stove keeps passengers warm in this cozy cabin on wheels.

Table Car

Our Table Car is one of our premium seating options and gives passengers a true first-class experience. This car features rich mahogany woodwork, brass fixtures, ambient lighting, and large booth-style tables that can seat up to four (4) people. Soft beverages and snacks are available à la carte through our dedicated First-Class Attendant.

This railcar can seat up to 48 people and can also be reserved for private groups and charters.

Open Air Gondola

Our Open Air Gondola offers passengers an unforgettable and immersive journey through the scenic countryside of Southern New Jersey. With no roof, windows, or doors, this railcar provides wide-open, unobstructed views and the refreshing feel of the wind in your hair. Elevated bench seating offers a comfortable and unique vantage point to take in the sights, sounds, and fresh air of our rural landscape.

Please note: This car is fully open to the elements. In the event of inclement weather, guests may be moved to indoor seating if space allows. We recommend bringing sunscreen, eye protection, and an umbrella when necessary.
